JHOP DC Day 1

Hannah here, coming to you from the headquarters of the nation, Washington, D.C! trEd is spending a week up here partnering with the Justice House of Prayer in intercession for our nation, government and leaders.

It's already been such a trip, such an honor to be here. Just a quick summary of today's activities:
  • Meeting with Matt Lockett, director of Bound4Life & JHOPDC, to discuss plan our week and brainstorm as to what issues are on our hearts and how we should pray for them
  • Devotional and intercession together as a team in the JHOP prayer room
  • Silent Siege in front of the Supreme Court. We will be sieging daily for at least an hour while we are here.
  • Had the honor of attending a small prayer meeting in the office of Sen Sam Brownback with some of his staff and associates. We felt incredibly privileged and even amazed that he would welcome prayer so fully into the place where he works daily. And to see him encouraged when he walked in and saw 15 people praying for him and the nation... Pray for that man; he is listening for the voice of God. Pray for clarity of hearing, and courage to walk out what he hears.
  • Attended a VAT (Values Action Team) meeting, led by Brownback, in which Pro-Life and Family Values Representatives and Organizations convene to discuss strategies, network and encourage one another. VERY fascinating and informative opportunity for us, to see the policies and action strategies that we pray for being discussed and fleshed out.
So, fairly eventful for our first day. Will try to blog some prayer coverage points for you tomorrow, for those who would like to be praying for us and the nation.

Much love!
